Pune: PMPML bus driver Ganesh Kadam and conductor Vishal Bhosale returned a wallet to senior citizen Gulab Ganpat Tikone, who accidentally left his wallet on the bus while getting down at City Post on Friday. A retired judicial employee by profession, Tikone was travelling on Friday morning on the PMPML bus from Ganpati Matha towards Mandai.According to PMPML officials, the wallet was subsequently discovered by Bhosale, who immediately informed Kadam. Upon checking the contents, they found an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, a voter ID card, a driving licence, and cash amounting to Rs 1,250. Kadam then asked Bhosale to check if there was any contact information inside the wallet. They found the mobile number of a friend of one Dattatray Maruti Bhosale, a friend of Tikone, and reached out to him to inform him about the lost wallet.Upon receiving this information from his friend, Tikone realised that he had indeed left his wallet on the bus. When he contacted the conductor, Bhosale assured him the wallet was safe and requested him to come to the Kothrud depot and collect the wallet. Following this, Tikone arrived at the Kothrud depot, where his wallet—along with all its contents and the cash—was returned to him safely.Nagesh Gaikwad, the PRO of PMPML, said the efforts of the duo were exemplary. “Such incidents prove that our drivers and conductors are responsible citizens who really care for passengers,” Gaikwad said.
