Hisar: Police in Haryana’s Fatehabad district have arrested a woman for her alleged role in the murder of her mother-in-law in Pirthala village near Tohana.The suspect, identified as Kiran, wife of Pradeep Kumar, was taken into custody following a complaint filed by her father-in-law, Hawa Singh.According to police, the victim, Leela Devi, retired to her room on the night of Nov 1. Her son found her unresponsive the next morning. Family members noticed injuries and bluish discoloration around her neck, pointing to death by strangulation.The complainant alleged that a cloth was placed over the home’s CCTV camera to obscure footage and accused Kiran of carrying out the killing along with an accomplice.Sadar Tohana police SHO Sadhuram said a murder case was registered on Nov 2 under Section 103(1) of BNS. Police are interrogating the suspect to determine the motive and identify any co-conspirators.
