Times News NetworkKanpur: Rura police in Kanpur Dehat seized 50 kg of illegal firecrackers from a house near Gahlon Tiraha and arrested one person, Bal Kishan Savita, under the Explosives Act. The action was taken during increased checking ahead of Deepawali. Police raided the house after getting a tip-off and found the crackers stored in two cartons. Savita, who lives in the same area, was caught on the spot. The station officer said a case has been registered and a chargesheet filed against him.The action followed instructions to inspect firecracker shops, verify stocks and fire-safety arrangements, and act against illegal storage.
