Ahmedabad: Sacked from a bridal wear shop in Ratan Pol in the afternoon, a man allegedly returned with two accomplices at night and attacked his employer with a knife near Old Khadia Gate, police said.The 40-year-old shop owner told Khadia police the accused had worked for him for nearly a year. Trouble reportedly began on Friday afternoon when the employee started speaking loudly while another worker was attending to a customer.

He picked a fight with the owner, who dismissed him.But the dispute allegedly did not end there.At 9.15pm, as the shop owner was riding home after shutting his store, the former employee allegedly intercepted him near Old Khadia Gate. Two unidentified men were reportedly with him.

The trio allegedly stopped the owner’s motorcycle and launched an attack, raining punches and kicks on the shop owner. The former employee then allegedly pulled out a knife.The shop owner raised his right hand in a bid to shield himself and suffered an injury near his wrist. Two acquaintances rushed to the spot after hearing his cries for help.The accused allegedly threatened to kill him before fleeing with the two men.The injured shop owner was taken to LG Hospital in a 108 ambulance. Doctors treated the wound with one stitch. Khadia police registered a case on Saturday.
