Patna: The education department has issued a revised schedule for the transfer of govt school teachers in Bihar, with online applications for (general category) transfers set to be accepted from Nov 30 to Dec 7. The entire process, including publication of transfer lists and disposal of appeals, will be completed by Dec 31.According to an official communique issued on Wednesday, teachers seeking transfer will be able to choose schools according to their preferences through an online portal.Before opening the transfer window, the department will complete the pending teacher adjustment and rationalisation exercise in 14 districts between Nov 9 and 14. Adjustment and rationalisation at the divisional and state levels will be carried out from Nov 17 to 25. The process of mutual transfers will also be completed during the same period.A revised school-wise vacancy list will be published on November 27, enabling teachers to make informed choices while applying for transfers.The transfer process had been suspended on October 8 following the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for the Bihar Legislative Council elections. With the code now withdrawn, the department has resumed the exercise and announced the revised timeline.
