Times News NetworkKanpur: Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Kanpur Nagar, distributed free assistive devices to 106 persons with disabilities at a programme organised in Bhitargaon on Tuesday. Chief guest and Bhitargaon Block Pramukh Ashok Kumar Sachan distributed tricycles to 71 beneficiaries and motorised tricycles to four persons. Besides, three persons received smart canes, four were provided hearing aids, seven received kits for persons with intellectual disabilities, while one beneficiary was given a wheelchair.On the occasion, District Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Officer Vinay Uttam provided detailed information about various welfare schemes being run by the department. He urged the eligible persons with disabilities to avail themselves of the benefits of these schemes.
