Further legal proceedings are underway.During questioning, the accused told police that Sameena, allegedly the gang leader, procured smack from Delhi and supplied it to the others for sale in nearby areas. They packed the drug into small white polythene pouches and sold each for Rs 300-400 to local consumers. “Sameena secretly procured the smack from Delhi and gave it to us for sale in nearby areas,” Rijul said, quoting the accused. The accused also told police that they frequently changed rented accommodation every one or two months to avoid detection. “They had taken this flat on rent about a month ago,” Rijul said, adding that the cash recovered was allegedly the proceeds from the drug trade and the three rings had been purchased using the same money.Sameena has 11 cases registered against her under the NDPS Act at various police stations in Delhi, while Imran has one theft case registered against him in the capital.
