Chandigarh: Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Monday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) would renominate him from Dirba, while his cabinet colleague and state party president Aman Arora would again contest from Sunam.AAP had announced its first list of 40 candidates for the 2027 assembly elections on Saturday, all of whom were incumbent MLAs. However, the opposition parties had raised questions about why the names of Cheema and Aman Arora were not announced.Apart from chief minister Bhagwant Mann and jailed minister Sanjeev Arora, the first list did not include the name of any other minister in the Mann-led cabinet.Meanwhile, Cheema said that the next list would be announced in 15-20 days. Taking a swipe at the BJP, Cheema said that all party MLAs stand with the party and the ones who quit are those who are denied tickets.
