Belagavi: Belagavi Airport has concluded Yatri Seva Abhiyan 2026, a campaign organised by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) from Sept 17 to Oct 10 to enhance passenger convenience, service quality, cleanliness and the overall travel experience. Airport director S Thiyagarajan said the campaign included a series of theme-based initiatives focusing on terminal cleanliness, passenger amenities, drinking water facilities, sanitation, digital services and assistance for persons with reduced mobility. Measures were also introduced to support first-time flyers and strengthen passenger feedback and grievance-redressal mechanisms. Regular inspections and interactions with airlines, ground-handling agencies, concessionaires and housekeeping staff were conducted to identify service gaps and implement corrective measures. The campaign also focused on improving customer service, accessibility, hygiene at food and beverage outlets, parking facilities and digital payment options. The initiative concluded with a valedictory programme on Oct 10, during which frontline staff were felicitated for their contribution to passenger services. Officials reviewed improvements made during the campaign and assessed upgraded facilities.
