Palanpur: Langhnaj police in Mehsana have registered a case against two men for allegedly abducting a 15-year-old schoolgirl and sexually assaulting her after luring her into a vehicle on the pretext of dropping her home.According to the complaint filed by the girl’s guardian, the incident occurred on Nov 3 around 2.30pm, when the girl was returning home after school.The accused allegedly approached her in an SUV near Alpesh Chowk in Ambaliyasan. He offered to drop her home and, gaining her confidence, made her get into the vehicle.However, he allegedly abducted the girl and drove towards Ahmedabad, threatening to kill her. During the journey, he allegedly called his accomplice, who joined them and got into the vehicle.The duo allegedly took the girl to an isolated location. While one of the accused allegedly stood outside the vehicle and kept watch, the other sexually assaulted the girl inside the SUV. The complaint stated that both accused assisted each other in committing the crime.Langhnaj police registered an FIR under provisions of BNS and Pocso Act and a hunt has been launched for the duo.
