T’puram: Chitranjali Film Studio will be comprehensively modernised with state-of-the-art technology and upgraded facilities to meet contemporary filmmaking requirements, said culture minister P C Vishnunadh.The minister gave the assurance during a visit to the studio on Tuesday, where he interacted with officials and employees. He said the govt aimed to make the institution financially self-sufficient by improving its infrastructure, expanding its activities, and identifying new revenue streams.Chitranjali will be equipped with modern digital facilities and advanced technologies to keep pace with developments in the film industry. The extensive land available at the studio and its existing infrastructure will be utilised effectively to expedite the ongoing development works and make the institution fully operational, the minister said.He also said issues related to theatres under construction in various parts of the state would be examined in detail and steps taken to resolve them at the earliest.Govt also plans to leverage the strong emotional connection that leading figures in the Malayalam film industry share with Chitranjali and the support of the public to develop it into a prominent destination for filmmakers and visitors alike.Vishnunadh assured that the govt and the department would extend full support and attention to the comprehensive development of the institution.
