Dumka: The decomposed body of an unidentified woman was recovered near Navpahar along the Dumka-Rampurhat road under Shikaripara police station limits of the district on Monday.The woman, in her thirties, was wearing a yellow salwar suit, black trousers and brown sandals. Her identity could not be established till late evening.Locals noticed a foul smell emanating from the side of the road before spotting the body and alerted the authorities. Police suspected that she was killed two weeks ago and her body was dumped near Navpahar to conceal the crime.“Neighbouring police stations have been alerted and their help has been sought to identify the deceased,” Amit Kumar Lakra, the officer-in-charge of Shikaripara police station, said.
