Ahmedabad: Arvind Limited reported a 16% year-on-year rise in second-quarter profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 123 crore for the second quarter of FY 2027. Revenue climbed 23% to a record Rs 2,919 crore, while EBITDA rose 27% to Rs 331 crore, supported by growth in advanced materials. The textile maker continued to face pressure from higher raw material costs, which curtailed margin growth in its textile business. Consolidated EBITDA margin improved to 11.4% from 11% a year earlier. For the first half of FY27, revenue grew 24% to Rs 5,420 crore. EBITDA increased 32% to Rs 590 crore, while PAT rose 26% to Rs 204 crore.“The first half was impacted by West Asia-led volatility in energy, freight and input costs, while demand in key western markets remained cautious. As the quarter progressed, India benefited from a more favourable trade position and stronger festive order inflows,” the company said. The Advanced Materials Business (AMB) remained a key growth driver. The segment reported revenue of Rs 805 crore, up 81% year-on-year, while EBITDA surged 97% to Rs 119 crore. Its EBITDA margin stood at 15%. The company cited demand from industrial capital expenditure, infrastructure, mobility and speciality applications as key growth drivers. The textile division reported revenue of Rs 1,999 crore, up 11%. However, higher input costs reduced textile margins by around 75 basis points against a normalised base. Garmenting revenue stood at Rs 577 crore. Volumes reached 11 million pieces, up 3% year on year. Denim fabric volumes rose 19% to 18 million metres, while woven fabric volumes stood at 34 million metres.Arvind commissioned the first phase of its greenfield garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, during the quarter. The facility is expected to generate Rs 250 crore in revenue at full utilisation. The company also established a denim design and marketing hub in Amsterdam to strengthen its international presence and customer engagement. Care Ratings upgraded Arvind’s credit rating by one notch, from AA- to AA, with a stable outlook. For the third quarter, Arvind expects its Indian AMB to deliver around 18% growth in revenue and EBITDA, with margins between 14% and 15%.The textile segment is expected to post early double-digit revenue growth, although margins may remain at current levels because of elevated input costs.
