LUCKNOW: Popular actor and two-term Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan struck a chord with youngsters as he recounted his journey from a struggling actor to a successful Bollywood and Bhojpuri cinema star, urging them to take pride in their roots and remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams.“Once you become a migrant, proudly say I am from Uttar Pradesh,” the actor said. “Once known for ‘bahubalis’, UP has managed to establish itself as a business-oriented state under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath,” he said. “Our country is strong only because of its youths. The young generation is often referred to as the future of the country, but I believe you are also our present,” he said. Giving a word of advice to the young generation, he said: “Discover your talent, pursue that even if nobody believes in you.” He said that as a politician, the biggest challenge before him was to deal with encephalitis in Gorakhpur region.“Without the vision of PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi, it would not have been possible to change the perception of Gorakhpur. It has emerged as the economic capital of eastern UP,” he said.
