Mumbai: A 23-year-old man was arrested by Ghatkopar police for allegedly throwing his nine-month-old son off a skywalk at Ghatkopar railway station west over infighting, causing serious head injuries to the child.Police have arrested Jafar Shaikh, who sells garments in Kurla.According to the police, the incident took place around 8.10 pm on Oct 25, when the accused allegedly got into an argument with his 22-year-old wife on the skywalk. He allegedly abused her and threatened to throw her and their son off the structure.When the woman demanded that he return the child to her, the accused allegedly threw the boy down with the intention of killing him, resulting in serious head injuries.Based on the woman’s complaint, Ghatkopar police have arrested the accused and further investigation is underway.
