Kharge’s derogatory comments on PM will only benefit BJP: Damu Naik

Panaji: BJP state president Damodar ‘Damu’ Naik on Monday said that every time Congress has used derogatory language for BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has benefitted BJP, as a larger number of people have come out in its support.Naik said the Congress’ Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent comments against Modi were below the belt and made in desperation as Congress is fighting for its survival in the country.“Congress’ existence in Goa is finished, and even across the country. They have become frustrated as support for them is waning. It is visible. That is why the likes of Mallikarjun Kharge used such derogatory language. They are jealous of Prime Minister Narendra Modi; that is why they are making such comments on someone who works 18 to 20 hours a day. They have always used abusive language towards him. But we have always benefitted from it,” said the BJP state president. The more they use such words, the more people come out in our support and give us victory, which further adds to their frustration, said Naik.“Such language has been used right from Sonia Gandhi for him. Their only focus is to hit out at our self-respect. We condemn Kharge’s statement. He is a frustrated soul. We warn that BJP karyakartas will not tolerate it and will show them their place. It is an attempt by Congress to save its existence,” said Naik.He said that Congress’ Goy Rakkhon Yatra was ironic as that party is full of landlords who own large parcels of land.“They are full of landlords who own entire village lands. When the time comes, we will reveal the names of those who have sold lands, to which organisations we will produce the proof. It will be known soon whether they are doing Goy Rakkhon Yatra or yatra to sell off villages. They may be roaming around to check which lands are left to be sold,” said Naik.
