Azad slams govt, vows equal education for all

Prayagraj: Nagina MP and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) chief Chandrashekhar Azad on Monday criticised state govt over poor infrastructure, alleging that highways and village roads were riddled with potholes and became submerged during rains. Azad, who attended a workers’ convention in Phulpur, said the public would vote govt out next year.He said govt, by providing ration, was stripping people of their fundamental rights and attempting to weaken the Constitution. Urging party workers to unite and work towards realising the dreams of Baba Saheb and other great visionaries, he said a party’s strength lay in the strength of its grassroots workers.Referring to Baba saheb, Azad described politics as a key capable of unlocking solutions to various problems. If used wisely, it paves the way for progress, but if handled carelessly, it leads to ruin, he said. Citing the ideals of Baba Saheb, he advocated for free education from classes one to 12, ensuring that children from both poor and affluent backgrounds study together in govt schools. He proposed giving priority in govt opportunities to those educated in public schools, saying private schooling helped children from wealthy families get ahead while poorer children had limited opportunities.Azad promised if his party forms govt, it will eliminate the divide between the rich and the poor in the realms of education and healthcare. He pledged to secure the rights of police personnel, PRD (Prantiya Rakshak Dal) members, home guards, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and Panchayat assistants, while also working to increase the minimum wage. He noted that many young people are left wandering with academic degrees but no employment and they are deeply distressed by unemployment and the recurring issue of exam paper leaks. He emphasized the necessity of providing equal, high-quality medical care in govt hospitals and ensuring ample employment opportunities for the youth.
