The arrest comes a day after a special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court remanded 11 accused, including two women, to police custody till November 6.The crime branch has invoked MCOCA in the case, alleging that the firing was part of an organised crime conspiracy. The firing took place in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18, when assailants allegedly opened fire near a football ground where Shroff had been playing. The actor escaped unhurt, while his driver and another person sustained injuries.Police have alleged that the attack involved a wider network responsible for arranging weapons, coordinating the operation and handling financial transactions.Investigators are continuing to probe the roles of the accused and the alleged links between them.
