Dharwad: A 33-year-old woman and her eight-year-old daughter died after allegedly consuming poison, while her two other daughters are critical in hospital.The deceased were identified as Savita Mallikarjun Kuragund, 33, and Nivedita alias Gadigevva Kuragund, 8, residents of Karadigudda village.Dharwad rural police said Savita allegedly fed poison to her three daughters before consuming it herself. Bhagyashri, 6, and Harshita, 2, are admitted to KMC RI Hospital in Hubballi.“Her husband Mallikarjun is working as a tractor driver in Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation. Bhagyashri and Harshita are admitted to KMC RI Hospital in Hubballi, where doctors said that their condition is critical” they added.It is learnt that Savita took the drastic step because she could not repay a loan obtained from an organisation. Police said they are investigating the case.
