Panaji: BJP national president Nitin Nabin will arrive in Goa on Tuesday and will be in the state for two days, where he will hold a state executive committee meeting. He will also hold separate meetings with ministers, MLAs, the party core committee and youth body functionaries, said BJP state president Damodar ‘Damu’ Naik on Monday.Naik said Nabin will review the state unit’s preparedness for the 2027 assembly polls and will guide the state functionaries accordingly. He said Nabin will also address party karyakartas, adding that there are 4.5 lakh party primary members at present.Naik said that it is too premature to comment on alliances for the upcoming polls.“Such things get consolidated only at the eleventh hour. It is not important to comment on it right now. We are working to strengthen our organisation in all 40 constituencies at present. We are here because of our organisational strength. We hold some or the other event every month, so we are already in touch with people nearly 24×7,” said the BJP state president. He also said that the party is in talks with former chief minister and former BJP senior state functionary Laxmikant Parsekar. He did not deny the possibility of Parsekar joining the party.“We want to bring together like-minded persons and there should be no division, and we need to bring together all those with our common ideology. We are in talks with him. It will happen at the opportune moment,” said Naik.
