Belagavi: CCB police arrested two men who were allegedly trying to sell heroin near the national highway in Belagavi city and seized drugs and mobile phones worth Rs 3 lakh. The accused have been identified as Mahantesh Ramanna Ambiger, 37, of Ambedkar Galli, and Akash Suresh Nandi, 28, of Hari Colony in Yallur. Police seized 14.4 grams of heroin powder valued at Rs 2.9 lakh and two mobile phones worth Rs 10,000 from the accused. A case has been registered at Mal Maruti police station.
