Hubballi: IndiGo will resume direct flights between Hubballi and Chennai from Oct 27, giving a boost to air connectivity in North Karnataka. The service had been suspended for a year amid scaling back of regional routes and fluctuating passenger demand. The non-stop flights will operate three days a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The direct connection will cut travel time to less than two hours, offering convenience to business travellers, regular commuters and tourists.Hubballi is a fast-growing commercial, trade and industrial centre in North Karnataka, while Chennai is a major corporate and industrial hub and seaport.
