Ghaziabad: A possibly human skeleton was found in a sack in Kavi Nagar on Tuesday. Police have taken it into custody and sent it for forensic examination.According to police, a passerby called Dial 112 and reported a pile of garbage lying in front of house number 61 in Shastrinagar’s J block. A human skull was allegedly spotted on top of the sack.A team from Kavinagar police station reached the spot and found a rice sack filled with garbage and other items, with what appeared to be a human skeleton lying on top of the pile. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain its origins and find who placed it there.ACP (Kavi Nagar) Abhay Daga said that parts of the skeleton appear to be similar to those used commonly for medical education, with markings on them, while other parts appear human. The skeleton has been sent for forensic testing and reports will soon confirm whether it is human or partially human.The biological sex of the skeleton could not be determined at this point and police said they hope further investigation will shed some light on a possible identity or other related facts. For now, a probe is on.“We have formed the team and are also checking the CCTV cameras of the nearby areas to get any lead into the case,” the ACP said.
