Kanpur: A 40-year-old employee of a pharmaceutical company died after a speeding vehicle allegedly hit his bike and ran over him on the Naubasta-Bhaunti highway near Yashoda Nagar in Kanpur on Sunday morning.According to police, the deceased, Suraj Mishra, was being rushed to a hospital in a critical condition but died on the way.Police said the accident took place around 5.25 am when a speeding vehicle rammed Mishra’s bike from behind, causing him to lose control. The vehicle then ran over him and fled the scene.The body has been sent for a postmortem examination, and an investigation has been launched to trace the driver of the offending vehicle, police said.
