Hyderabad: In a fresh push to position Telangana as a major automotive and mobility hub, chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday invited Hyundai to set up a car manufacturing unit in the state, while assuring the South Korean auto giant of full govt support for its proposed ₹8,528 crore integrated R&D facility at Zaheerabad.A delegation of Hyundai Motors India Engineering (HMIE) led by its managing director Changyeon Cho met the chief minister at his camp office on the MCR HRD Institute campus.Highlighting Telangana’s strategic advantages, Revanth said the state was ideally positioned to host large-scale automobile manufacturing investments.“We are centrally located in the country, and Hyderabad is known for being cosmopolitan, safest and having the most livable conditions among the six metropolitan Indian cities,” he said. The chief minister assured Hyundai’s leadership of all support for expediting the proposed HMIE integrated global research and development facility at the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone, Zaheerabad. He also outlined the govt’s vision of developing Bharat Future City, a large-scale satellite city envisioned as a next-generation industrial and innovation hub.The chief minister invited Hyundai’s leadership to participate in the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026.Changyeon Cho said Hyundai’s plans to strengthen Hyderabad as a global technology and advanced engineering centre aligned with the state’s long-term development ambitions.
