T’puram: State govt has declared Monday (Oct 19) a holiday, on account of Durgashtami, for govt and quasi-govt offices, public sector institutions, schools, higher educational institutions and institutions covered under Negotiable Instruments Act. With this, govt employees and students will get four days’ holiday from Sunday to Wednesday for the Puja festival.
