Kolkata: Bengal Police STF found an illegal arms-making unit inside a house in Ayubnagar, under Nadial Police Station in Kolkata’s Port division. The main suspect, Sahil, escaped before police arrived. Police seized two 7 mm firearms, two country-made pistols, live bullets of different calibres, fired cartridge cases, and tools used to make weapons.Police believe the unit had been running for several months. Investigators are checking if the operation had links with arms networks in Bihar, including Munger.A case has been filed under the Arms Act at Nadial Police Station. Bengal STF and Kolkata Police STF teams are searching for Sahil and his associates.
