Case registered against a man for blackmailing woman
Kanpur: An FIR has been registered against a man accused of harassing a woman, posting her photographs on social media and attempting to abduct her daughter from a school in Kanpur’s Rawatpur police station area.The woman, in her complaint, alleged that the accused, Shivam Upadhyay, a local resident, had been stalking and harassing her while she travelled on the road for the past year. She alleged that after she lodged a complaint through IGRS, he allegedly tried to abduct her daughter from school.She also alleged that Upadhyay uploaded her photographs on social media to defame her after she refused to speak to him.Rawatpur station in-charge said a report had been registered and action was being taken.
